There is nothing to stop me marrying my boyfriend in Massachusetts. When we retire we'll be moving to another state (probably Maine). Likewise any same sex couple can move here for a few months or a year, then marry, then return to their "home" state. The Justices must have turned their brains off, with the laudable exception of Ireland.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703913.post-1143834042398658712006-03-31T14:40:00.000-05:002006-03-31T14:40:00.000-05:00Likewise, I remain with Justice Ireland. Also, they take into account both the Goodridge decision and an analysis on comity.massmarrierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02358207247771711952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7703913.post-1143830038891229082006-03-31T13:33:00.000-05:002006-03-31T13:33:00.000-05:00I'm afraid I'm with Chris on this one. The test that the SJC set on gay marriage in Goodridge was the rational basis test. The 1913 law is not a good law, but it is a rational one. This one should be decided by the Legislature and I think they should repeal it and dare Romney to veto.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
