Don't Vote on Minority Rights

Following the unresolved issues of same-sex marriage yesterday, head over to Mark's post about the SSM message on QueerToday.

It's a disturbing command to counter the anti folks. He notes that the sneaky, but powerful Let the people vote slogan is better than anything the pro-SSM forces has offered in PR terms. Ironically of course, the pro message is more humane, more civil, more democratic, and well, more Christian.

Mark and his commenters say that the struggle with legislators between now and November 9th needs to counter the simple-minded call.

Join in the discussion over there. This is too important to let go.
