Even though the Human Rights Campaign stumbled recently, they are still up to good things. Tomorrow, for a great example, is National Coming Out Day.
The call is for GLBT or straight-supporters to say it, and to talk about it. The HRC has a handy dandy brochure with talking points.
This is important stuff. We can look to Massachusetts rejecting the amendment to stop same-sex marriages and Maine's similarly rejecting yet another override to their gay-rights legislation. In both states, voters and lawmakers said it was the conversations with and awareness of GLBT self-outed folk, and supporters, that made the difference.
Tomorrow is a good day to make a difference.
