The Boston Herald quotes Senate President Robert don't-call-me-Bobby-anymore Travaglini as calling off the scheduled debate on the anti-same-sex marriage amendment -- at least until the Supreme Judicial Court rules. The SJC didn't give a sked for their action.
Yesterday, the court heard arguments on a suit alleging the amendment is unconstitutional. While waiting word, "lawmakers have put off the ConCon debate, saying it would be 'premature' before the court ruling, said Senate President Robert E. Travaglini's spokeswoman, Ann Dufresne."
Blog Note: Posts here should be very, very light for about a week after today. We'll be remote and overly scheduled. We had been distressed at not being around for the amendment debate. Whew. Thanks, no-longer-Bobby.
